Modern 3/4

September 14 @ 7:00 pm

Modern 3/4 offers a safe and supportive environment for dancers ages 11–18 to deepen their skills, confidence, and creativity through technique, improvisation, and choreography. Through this expansive American dance form, students build their understanding of the Elements of Dance—Body, Action, Space, Time, and Energy—while developing strength, artistry, musicality, and expressive range.

In addition to technical growth, dancers strengthen listening, collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills through both large- and small-group activities. Students have opportunities to create choreography, explore improvisation, and develop their individual artistic voices while building strong community connections through collaboration. Dancers may register for either section or both. Taking classes with a broader age range offers opportunities for mentorship, leadership, and learning from diverse experiences, while classes with a narrower age range can support deeper peer connections and address age-specific challenges.

For dancers seeking additional training, creativity, and community, enrolling in both sections also provides the benefits of a second Modern class each week.

Ages 11-18; Grades 6-12.
