TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH MOVEMENT
At Young Dance, every class is designed for dancers of all abilities and experience levels. Whether you or your child is taking their very first dance class or have years of experience, you’ll find a welcoming community where you can grow, create, and belong.
Our approach to dance education emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and curiosity. Students explore the elements of Body, Action, Space, Time, and Energy while developing dance technique, improvisation, and choreography. In a supportive environment where healthy risk-taking is encouraged, dancers build confidence, artistic voice, and meaningful connections with others.
Across all of our classes, students deepen their understanding of themselves, their bodies, and their communities. Every class and the Young Dance Company is grounded in our All Abilities Dancing approach, where people with and without disabilities learn and create together. CLASS STRUCTURE
Youth classes bring together students across two or more grade levels, creating opportunities for dancers to learn from one another, build lasting relationships, and grow as both learners and leaders. Adult classes are open level, bringing together professional and novice dancers. This multi-age model encourages collaboration, confidence, and a strong sense of community.
Our classes are designed to meet dancers where they are, offering multiple ways to participate, create, and grow. Students develop skills at their own pace while being challenged through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
At Young Dance, integrated classes foster relationships between peers of diverse abilities through the practice of dance. We provide accommodations to make it possible for people with disabilities to participate in any class and the Young Dance Company.
