Young Dance is committed to giving the youth of Minneapolis an extraordinary opportunity to express themselves and develop their own voice through movement.
Community involvement strengthens our mission, enhances the quality of the Young Dance experience, and keeps our programs affordable. We are incredibly grateful for your support.
JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
We are excited to welcome anyone passionate about Young Dance to our Board! We are also currently looking for folks with any of the following expertise, interests, and availability:
- Attend our monthly board meetings: Every second Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Zoom
- Participate in at least one board committee
- Enthusiastic about & committed to Young Dance’s mission
- Willing to participate actively in Young Dance events as both an attendee and volunteer
- Expertise in any of the following areas:
- Fundraising
- Legal
- Event Planning
- Disability Advocacy

Young Dance is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, and your contribution is tax deductible. If your employer has a matching gift program, please consider using it to make your gift go twice as far.
Since 1987, Young Dance has encouraged youth in our community to build body and spirit through the creative art of dance. Our mission is to transform lives through movement. Each year, dancers in our classes, performing company, and community partnerships have an opportunity to collaborate with professional artists, pushing the boundaries of the art and practice of dance. Young Dance is an inclusive, artistic community where creativity flourishes.
Your donation helps keep our class fees low, assuring programming is accessible to all individuals, and provides scholarships so anyone can participate, regardless of ability to pay. Additionally, contributions support our Community Partnerships with schools, libraries, juvenile corrections, and community organizations.
