The Young Dance Performing Company is pleased to be returning to the theater to present these original pieces choreographed by Aneka McMullen, Blake Nellis, and Margaret Ogas, plus a piece collectively made by the upper level dancers. Additional guests include students from the Choreography, Hip Hop, Breaking, Modern, and All Abilities Dancing classes
At Young Dance, we approach each season with a theme. This year, our theme is Radically One (Together).
As a youth arts organization, we work hard to foster an environment where students can safely and confidently express their individuality. Concurrently, we strongly believe in the power of building community through movement.
One of our core values is to foster in our students a commitment to self, to the group, and to lifelong learning. This year, we spent time digging deeper into these words, unpacking and dissecting the question: How can we support the individual, radically accept one another, build community, and fight collectively for the change we want (and need!) to see in the world?
