Margaret Ogas is a dancer and choreographer who makes funky, spunky, socially engaged performances. She grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. 

Margaret’s choreography has been presented in spaces throughout the Twin Cities, including the Walker Art Center, the Cedar Cultural Center, The Minnesota Museum of American Art, Bryant Lake Bowl, Center for Performing Arts, and on sidewalks in South Minneapolis. She is a recipient of the 2021 Naked Stages Fellowship at Pillsbury House + Theatre. Since 2018, she has been a dancer and collaborator with choreographer Taja Will. She has also had the pleasure of working with Chris Schlichting, Laurie Van Wieren, and Jennifer Glaws. 

Margaret is an engaged member of the local arts community and serves on the board of Language Attitude, a group developing culturally relevant, arts-based programs in the fields of education, media, and communications. She has a strong belief in art’s ability to inspire and empower, and she is excited to share her love for movement, storytelling, and improvisation with the students at Young Dance!
