Company

Company dancers show up with focus, curiosity, and care for the group as they rehearse and perform throughout the season. Performances may include community events and partnerships with organizations such as the Walker Art Center and Mia, culminating in a full concert production at the end of the academic year. In addition to Saturday rehearsals, Company dancers also take weekly technique classes to strengthen their artistry, versatility, and movement practice. One technique class of any style is required; more than one is encouraged.

The Company is led by Artistic Director Anat Shinar and Co-Associate Directors Brian Evans and Judee Shuǐ Xiān.

Consistent attendance at Company rehearsals is required, and all absences must be communicated. Partial participation is possible and can be arranged at the start of the session for students who have other seasonal commitments. Email Anat at anat@youngdance.org with questions.

Young Dance is committed to keeping Company accessible to all families. Tuition is offered on a sliding scale from $950 to $1,200, with financial assistance available. Families who can contribute at the higher end of the scale help ensure equitable access for all dancers. Thank you!
