Choreography
October 10 @ 3:15 pm
Turn movement into ideas, stories, and original dances in this dance composition class. Through improvisation, creative prompts, music exploration, and group feedback, dancers will experiment with new ways of making movement and develop their own unique choreographic voice. Throughout the year, students will create original work, collaborate with peers, and explore what it means to shape dance from the inside out. Dancers will have opportunities to share their work in performances throughout the season, including the end-of-year showcase and selected Student or Company performances. Choreographers are encouraged to take an additional technique class to support and expand their movement vocabulary.
Ages 7–18; Grades 2-12.
