Lizz Windnagel (they/them) is an interdisciplinary performer, theater-maker, director, and educator. They have always been interested in where art forms meet, and how they can inform one another. As a performer, they have sung and goofed around on Twin Cities stages with Open Eye Theater, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, We are Married, and Mixed Precipitation. They have also created several original works that have premiered in the Twin Cities, Chicago, and Calgary, Canada. For several years, Lizz toured nationally and internationally with The Rose Ensemble, which was an early music vocal ensemble and has worked as a singer with various other professional choral groups. Lizz holds an MFA in directing from the University of Calgary and Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from the University of Minnesota. They founded the theater programming at the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota and currently serve as a teaching artist with In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre.
