STUART PIMSLER is a choreographer, director, author, performer, father, founder, and Artistic co-director of Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (SPDT) since 1979. Based in Minneapolis, SPDT has toured globally and throughout the U.S., including commissions and presentations at the Guthrie Theater, Kennedy Center, U.S. Civil Rights Museum, Jacob’s Pillow, and many more. His book, The Choreography of Care/Engaging Caregivers in Creative Expression, chronicles the internationally recognized arts in health work of SPDT. In 2015, Stuart created a new work, Heroes Unbound, for a group of Young Dance family members performed for Twin Cities audiences.
