Meridian Movement Company is an all-male BIPOC company established in 2020. We focus on 3 things: creating a somatic healing space while re-educating and evolving hip hop movement. Attempting to be more than just a dance company, we strive to be a catalyst for positive change and a beacon of artistic excellence within the world of Hip Hop, dance, and beyond. Colin Edwards, Cecil Neal, and Alex Arce will join Young Dance as Artists-in-Residence for the 2023-24 season. From September through May, they will work across all of our programs: the school, performing company, and community partnerships, integrating healing into the creative process for our students.
