Gabriel Rodreick is a multi-disciplinary artist based in South Minneapolis. He lives with a C5 Spinal Cord Injury, which informs a lot of his creative work. He’s the singer and songwriter for the musical project Freaque, which ranges from stripped-down dirt folk to bigger swamp grooves. He’s also the creative mind behind A Cripple’s Dance, a live music and dance production created and performed by people with Spinal Cord Injuries and people with able bodies. His artistry is based around the practices of healing and shadow work, with an emphasis on the body, disability, sexuality, and equitable movements toward political change.
