Carlos “Los Boogie” Garcia has been a professional breaker since 2005 and teaching “breaking” at Heartbeat Studios since 2006 & Macalester University from 2011-2013. He was a co-founder and lead choreographer for the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves “First Avenue Breakers” from 2007 to 2016. Los has also curated and choreographed for the Curio Dance series “Drop the Mic” at The Guthrie and The Cowles Center in Minneapolis from 2010 to 2018. Los currently works as a professional “Breaks DJ” and Spanish interpreter. He continues to teach breaking at Heartbeat Studios and curates music for annual breaking competitions nationwide.
