Maria Tordoff is a dance educator, movement based artist, and massage therapist who is currently based in Burnsville, MN. She graduated from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography in 2015. She wanted to continue to explore bodywork and anatomy and soon gained her A.A.S. in Massage Therapy from Northwestern Health and Sciences in Bloomington, MN. Over the years Maria has worked closely with some lovely artists and companies including Danceworks, Wild Space, Kym McDaniel, Halie Bahr, Melinda Meyers, Luc Vanier, Elizabeth Johnson, Maria Gillespie, Reggie Wilson, Rebecca Stenn, Dani Kuepper, and Cedar Becher. Most recently, Maria co-created and performed with Little Works and collaborated with singer songwriter The Nunnery. One of her favorite aspects of teaching is creating brave spaces for students to express themselves with their own authentic creativity and physicality. Most of all she plans her classes to be fun for all and community driven.
