Pasta Promenade: Young Dance Fundraising Dinner

Join us for a joyous evening of dinner and dancing!

Date: Sunday February 10th, 2008
Time: 4-7 pm
Place: Barton School -- 4237 Colfax Ave S, Minneapolis MN 55409

A la carte menu for the evening:

Spaghetti dinner – Spaghetti, garlic bread, salad & desserts

Special performances by Young Dance teachers Justin Jones, Sarah Jacobs and more

Demonstration performance by International Latin ballroom champion Mariusz Olszewski and student/partner Katya Tobak

Mariusz moved to Minneapolis in 1996 to join JAZZDANCE! by Danny Buraczeski.  He danced with this acclaimed company for 5 seasons performing across the US on such prominent stages like Kennedy Center, DC, the Joyce Theater in NY. Mariusz Olszewski is a recipient of a 2005 McKnight Artist Fellowship for Dancers.

He graduated from the Institute of Culture Theatre Department in Opole, Poland. From 1991-1995 he danced with the first modern dance company in Poland, The Silesian Dance Theatre, and received the President's of Silesia's award for Outstanding Artist isn 1995.

In the Twin Cities, Mariusz has been performing with many companies and taught and choreographed for many modern, ballet and ballroom schools.  He lives to dance!!!

Followed by a group ballroom dance lesson for all!
