February Dance Jamboree
A mini festival of classes for body mind and soul.
CLASSES are $5/class for a currently enrolled Young Dance student, $10/class for an individual not currently enrolled in Young Dance. (Bring a Friend and share Young Dance!)
SCHEDULE:
Saturday February 15, 2020
9:15-10:00 a.m.– FAMILY DANCE, Ages: 1- 5 yrs. old with caretaker (crawlers and walkers welcome). Taught by Gretchen Pick, children and their caregivers discover the joys of dance through
movement games, stories, and songs.
10:00-11:00 a.m.– HIP HOP taught by Gabrielle "The Baddie" Abram., Ages 7-11 yrs. This class is full of energetic choreography that offers a glimpse into the history of Hip Hop, including the styles that created and made hip hop so popular (i.e. breaking, popping, locking, and house).
10:00-11:00 a.m.– WEST AFRICAN FUSION, Ages: 12 and up. Deja Joelle uses Traditional West African Dance and Black social dance to create an aesthetic that promotes healing and Self - Love.
11:00-12:00 p.m.– MODERN DANCE, Ages: 8-12 yrs. Taught by Tori Casagranda, explore modern through concepts of Space, Time, Body, Effort, Movement, and Form.

Stretching In, a season of dance in rigorous forms and processes asking company members to challenge themselves physically, mentally, socially, emotionally. Creating relationships with our new neighbors, engaging with the work of our committed teaching artists and creating new relationships with dance artists from the Twin Cities.
